"Tops & Bottoms" by Janet Stevens

"Planting a Rainbow" by Lois Ehlert

Science: Children will plant real seeds using learning's gained from the books & puzzles station.  They will also have an opportunity to examine plant structure above and below the soil surface though the "Rootvue Farm". 

Learning Objectives: The children will learn the importance of plants and insects through hands-on experiences.

Book & Puzzles: Children will be read to from the following books that discuss and portray how plants grow through roots and stems.  Knowledge gained will help them at the science station.

Additional books will be available along with puzzles such as "Build a Bouquet".

Art: Children will make a tissue butterfly while a facilitator shares how caterpillars change into butterflies* and are helpful pollinators.
